Another amazing woman, another amazing book, another amazing sentence/title which is my little mantra 🙂
But let’s read Amazon words on it:
One of the most influential, admired, and innovative women of our time: fashion designer, philanthropist, wife, mother, and grandmother, Diane von Furstenberg offers a book about becoming the woman she wanted to be.
Diane von Furstenberg started out with a suitcase full of jersey dresses and an idea of who she wanted to be—in her words, “the kind of woman who is independent and who doesn’t rely on a man to pay her bills.” She has since become that woman, establishing herself as a global brand and a major force in the fashion industry, all the while raising a family and maintaining “my children are my greatest creation.”
In The Woman I Wanted to Be, von Furstenberg reflects on her extraordinary life—from childhood in Brussels to her days as a young, jet-set princess, to creating the dress that came to symbolize independence and power for an entire generation of women. With remarkable honesty and wisdom, von Furstenberg mines the rich territory of what it means to be a woman. She opens up about her family and career, overcoming cancer, building a global brand, and devoting herself to empowering other women, writing, “I want every woman to know that she can be the woman she wants to be.”
As in Nat King Cole sang, i have fallen in love and it will be forever.
My cleaning face routine was made of a cleansing gel, some wipes (i know, i konw, they are evil…) but then i saw Anna’s videos and nothing stayed the same 🙂
I found out that most of my favourites bloggers/youtubers use Bioderma/or similar cleansing water (micellar water) so i started to do my research 😉
I didn’t find Bioderma but I have tried L’oreal Skin Perfection and Garnier Micellar Cleansing.
And my ultimate favourite is the Garnier one.
For a lot of different reasons:
1)Garnier Micellar Cleansing is bigger and cheaper than L’Oreal one.
2)Garnier one is less oily on the skin than L’Oreal Skin Perfection.
3)Garnier product doesn’t affect in any ways my eyes while L’Oreal one made my eyes burn a little.
4)A lot of L’Oreal product goes on waste, the micellar water falls into the cotton pad while Garnier one just drops out.
5)And that’s a stupid reason….I like packaging of Garnier better 🙂
Now i really want to know about you, do you use micellar water?do you have a favourite one?
This book is the perfect combination of a lot of my inspirations.
I love elegant, powerful, chic women as Marella Agnelli (i will do icons based posts soon with Marella, Diane von Furstenberg, Blake Lively..), i love houses and home decoration and i love Voltaire’s sentence “Ho coltivato il mio giardino” (“Let us cultivate our garden”).
I have always loved this sentence so much i could actually think of getting it tattooed 😉
You can read now the words used by Amazon:
The exclusive world of one of the twentieth century’s most glamorous and alluring women, as seen through her private homes and gardens. Nicknamed “The Swan” by Richard Avedon when he photographed her iconic portrait in 1953, Marella Agnelli is not only one of the great beauties of the last century, but also the most elegant and cultured of that exclusive club. Born the Neapolitan princess Marella Caracciolo di Castagneto, she became Marella Agnelli with her marriage to Gianni Agnelli, the Fiat industrialist. However, her innate style dates back to her New York internship with photographer Erwin Blumenfeld, and she was a Vogue contributor in the 1950s and ’60s as well as appearing in its pages. One of the most photographed women of the jet-set society, she was captured by Avedon as well as Irving Penn, Henry Clarke, Horst, and Robert Doisneau, among others. Agnelli collaborated with the best artists and designers of her day, with her many residences as their palette. From Italian interior design legend Renzo Mongiardino—who worked on her New York apartment alongside a young Peter Marino—to Gae Aulenti, the important Italian architect, who built her homes in Turin and Marrakech, Agnelli created a series of extraordinary houses and gardens, full of timeless elegance, invaluable art, and groundbreaking decorating ideas. With ten residences spread throughout Turin, Rome, Milan, New York, St. Moritz, and Marrakech, ranging from regally classic villas to ultramodern apartments, her impeccable taste shines through in these gorgeous interiors and gardens. One of the famous modern fairy tales of love, glamour, and heartbreak, Marella Agnelli has become an icon of our times.
such a lovely face 😉
as Madonna said “sweat is my drug” 🙂
I’m a huge fan of fitness so i will try to give you all my tips and tricks:)
First of all you have to learn to feel your body, it will guide you through the perfect training. For exemple, i run, but not each single day, i do it when i feel it’s okay for me to do it.
I go to the gym/run in the park all days, i like it so much it comes natural for me doing it everyday. And i think it’s helpful doing it often to make it an healthy routine.
I follow different kinds of patterns in the gym:
– i do 2/3 km of elliptical machine which i think it’s great because it does what running does to your body but in a softer way and it decreases the risk of impact injuries OR i do run for 5 km (or more) on tapis roulant. As i said before, i do what i feel like doing.
-i do my abs; 5 series of 20 abs or i train on the machine you can see in one of the pics (you have to lift your knees to your chest holding on your arms)
-i do some exercise on the leg curl machine which is amazing to get your legs in perfect shape (but i only use it 3 times a week)
-i do my biceps exercises (25 kg max)
and that’s all 🙂
it’s not the longest fitness routine in the world because i think if it’s too long it gets you bored and too tired to come back for more the next day 😉
Enjoy your training!
